July 09, 2008 By: Edalyana Category: General

I’ll be going back to Kuching, Sarawak tonight. Yay!! Hopefully the flight is as schedule, please don’t delay it. Kuching Miaw Miaw here I come; Rainforest World Music Festival here I come; lalalalalalalala.. I’m so happy… went to pick Little Gavyn and his entourage (mom n sis) last night. He is so adorable. The cutest thing on earth! It makes me even happier just seeing him. Having him at home really brighten up my day.

Argh I cant wait to get on the plane. Time, please pass quickly as what you always did to me when I was having fun. haha. Back in Kuching, hubby is busy ‘ushering’ people who come from all over the world for the festival. I can feel the heat already.

I was surprised when I checked my yahoo email this morning. I got an e-mail from ‘Anwar Ibrahim’ office. I wonder any of you out there received the same email? I was like talking to myself and despite feeling ‘geram’ over government on rising the fuel prices, I felt ‘geram’ about them. Pandai-pandai they go and email me. Ishh.

Public Gathering In Kelana Jaya Stadium To Proceed
==========================================

geramm2.png

The 1 Million People PROTEST Gathering scheduled for July 6, 2008 will proceed peacefully at the Kelana Jaya Stadium in Petaling Jaya from 10.00am to 12.00am.Any contrary information that is being disseminated whether by SMS or e-mail are patently FALSE and MISLEADING and are meant to confuse the public. The planned programme will not be cancelled under any circumstances to ensure that the people are able to express their dissatisfaction at the government’s decision to drastically increase the price of petrol and other fuels without strong and reasonable justification.Pakatan Rakyat leaders earlier this week issued the statement that they believe the Malaysian people should be given space to air their views and gather to express their discontent towards the decision of the government to raise the price of oil so drastically and without firm reasons. They invited Malaysians who support the movement for a more just and transparent government to join today’s peaceful gathering and not to be influenced by outside provocation. The statement was issued by Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Advisor of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (KeADILan); YAB Lim Guan Eng, Secretary General of Democratic Action Party (DAP); YB Dato’ Kamarudin Jaffar, Secretary General of Parti Islam SeMalaysia (PAS); and Datuk Salehudin Hashim, Secretary General of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (KeADILan).
For more information about Sunday’s demonstration click here, and for a map of the location of the gathering click here

More or less the email is about the demonstration which was held at Kelana Jaya yesterday. Heard about the demonstration on Friday and on Saturday night and Sunday morning, I noticed a road block was held at Jalan Ampang. Only 10,000 turned up yesterday according to Hitz.fm morning news. I don’t understand them. I was informed that every weekend of last month, the R.F.U @ policemen were on standby as there were few demonstrations held in town. I noticed it last 2 weeks when I was at SOGO.There were I think more than 30 R.F.U unit @ policemen on standby. Don’t you feel scared if you see this kind of situation? You know something bad and dangerous is going to happen / happening. What you can do is to be extra cautious or just stay at home during weekend. :(

Don’t they have anything interesting to do beside demonstrating? Sports? Fishing? Shopping? (Isetan was having their 3-day sale last weekend, see how u’ve missed the great sale? and oh ya, the Mega Sale Carnival is on) and the least they can do is to stay at home and spend quality time with their family. I’m not into politics but there is an uneasiness in me to see they kept on doing demonstration over the same and old issue which is ‘the oil prices’. Isn’t that a month ago issue?

Why don’t they move on with this beautiful life and try to figure out the alternative way to live with it? Why want to take the shortcut? Demonstration? To show your anger and dissatisfaction and try your best to boycott the government? Until when? How much time have you wasted?

All I want to do know is to set my feet to the beautiful and peaceful hometown of mine; Sarawak where I can live happily and peacefully without worrying on my safety over the street demonstration. Isn’t that nice? Come and visit Sarawak. Quick!. hee hee.. sempat lagi.

Sorry

June 17, 2008 By: Edalyana Category: General

Have you ever hurt someone who you love dearly without realising it? be it in words or actions. The moment I did it, I didn’t even realize until one point when I think it back, then I realized how foolish I was to let such word slipped from my mouth. Damn!!! I regret it!

Words are sharper than knife and once you have said it no way to take it back. So, think before you talk or act. Don’t end up like me. Crying and hoping that they will forgive us fast and maybe forget  about it but I know its impossible. People forgive but they don’t forget!!

SORRY

David Cook

May 23, 2008 By: Edalyana Category: General

David Cook looks happy as he sings Roberta Flack's old hit, The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.

Yeah yeah.. my handsome rockstar boyfriend won American Idol. He is indeed my idol. Love his ‘rock’ voice, style and talent. Not to say that I don’t like the other David; Archuleta’s voice is undeniable great. Obviously, he can sing any songs in any genre. But, I just love my ‘type-of-guy’ im into ; David Cook.. (wink) For me, his best performance was when he sang Billie Jean. Makes my hair stands on its end..haha..

Life

May 23, 2008 By: Edalyana Category: General

Hi all, its been a while since I’ve updated my blog. The last couple of weeks has been hectic for me, had to finish all the impending work before I got transferred to my new department. Attended Structural design Course for four days; then the best part was going back to Miri again..haha.. (this has been my second trip home for this month.. heehee)

The Structural Course which I attended was  very refreshing and a good start for me. It was a bit stressing at first when we had to sit for our pre-assesment the very first night of the course, quizzes between classes, classes and tutorials were in the morning and evening, group discussion at nights, group assignment and lastly presentation on the final day.  At the end of the course, then we felt relieved and happy for what we had gained and learnt during the course. Learning process never ends. Fuh, tiring… feels like a uni student.

Preparing for our presentation

I just got back from my hometown Miri yesterday. As expected, my holiday were always filled with fun activities which I enjoyed it enormously. Being with my family and friends, food hunting, enjoying the windy beach, ‘McD-ing’ etc.. etc.. haha.. Baby Gavyn is 2 months and 3 weeks old now. I was quite surprised to see how fast he has grown. He started to smile and sing (he loves it when you sing to him, he will started to imitate the movement of your mouth.)

dsc00986.JPG

Today is my first day at the new department, everybody is so warm including my bosses, they are willing to teach and very easy to talk to. I still feel awkward though. In my old office, I used to jalan-jalan at my friends cubicle, makan-makan at the other friend’s room, chit-chatting with the other group. We move in group, about 10 of us altogether, breakfast, lunch and any other activities. Now, we can only skype with each other (we did skype before although we sit just a few steps away.. haha) and the most tidak-syok part is during breakfast and lunch. We were used to move in groups and exchange stories during lunch. Now, only 2 of us left for lunch.

Moving to Mid Valley which is located at the same building with the biggest shopping mall really makes me worry. I am a ‘good’ spender,  I’m scared that I’ll be spending my lunch time shopping. Still remember the first word that came out from my sister’s mouth when I told her that I am gonna move to Mid Valley. She said, ‘Good la, if Jusco is having their sale, you will be the first person to go, where you can get all the good stuffs with the good quality’.. haha LOL.

Besides, I got offered a permanent post. Thank God. I don’t have to wait for 2 years as in my contract. Life is great! .. By the way, everybody knows that Malaysia Airlines is doing their zero fare promo right now. Its a good move by MAS so that it can compete with Air Asia and keep on offering a good price so that me, the frequent traveller (domestic only la) get all the benefit.. haha.. Too bad I already bought my ticket for Christmas and Rainforest.

 I miss my ex-colleagues.

Envy me :p

Yeah, its Monday and last week has been a busy one for me. I have to finish all of my work before I can be transferred to my new department. Oh ya, have I told you that I’ll be transferred to a new department??, one of the most critical department. Thank God! I’ll be doing structural design. Yes! Yes! I was so so happy and almost cried when I got my offer letter. I finally got what I really wanted.

There is are a lot of saying that, you’ll be very busy once you’re in the new department. You’ll go home late and you cannot make any mistakes when making designs as it will affect the whole structure which will directly affect the company. The boss are quite fussy and so on. Fuh! I admit that I was scared a bit but nevermind, just bring it on. Let me face all the challenges while I’m still young and capable, get as much experience while I can and maybe get my P.E (Professional Engineer) (If you are good at design, its easier for you to get a P.E.) haha.. ambitious huh? But, I’m scared that I’ll be complaining later on hehe..

Early last week, I sent mum, sis and little Gavyn to the airport, they are in Miri now. Gavyn will stay there for 2 months before sis got a maid. Since then house is so quiet without him, I miss him :(  There was no one for me to play with. To laugh at his funny characters. Having him made me glued at home; playing with him and adoring him.

Fortunately, I have lots of activities going on last week; being ‘pengawas’ for PTK exam, dinner with the minister, aerobic and bowling (we won :D).

The losing team ( haha, jangan marah)

Time passes real fast and I didn’t even realize that tomorrow I’ll be going back home. yea yea! (and i just realised that I went back every month la). hehe.. I can’t wait to see Gavyn  and my family as all of us will be going back to see the only boy in the family. How addicted is he!
